TTD filed a lawsuit against the fake laddu website www.balajiprasadam.com, which deceived social media devotees, alluring them that Srivari laddu prasadam could be delivered anywhere in the world. A case was lodged against the operators of a false website registered by the police at the East Police Station in Tirupati on December 8, according to TTD wing vigilance officials.

On December 6, the fake website was launched and advertised that anywhere in the world it will deliver Srivari laddu prasadam.

TTD Board Chairman Y V Subba Reddy immediately instructed vigilance officials to classify and book a case against website operators who play with the feelings of devotees upon receipt of the tip-off.

The IT arm of the TTD also plunged into action and blocked the bogus website immediately on December 7.

It is important to note that some unscrupulous elements lure devotees through the website to supply the much sought after prasadams and cheat the devotees by taking advantage of the enormous demand for Lord Balaji prasadams.
